The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) organized a regional training course in Vienna as part of a technical cooperation project. Senior assistant from the Faculty of Technology Zvornik, Srdjan Vukovic, was the only participant from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The purpose of the event was training and certification of course participants. The training and intensive program lasted two weeks, the first part was related to lectures and the second part to practical training.
Time Distribution Technique (RTM/RTD) and Sealed Sources Methods – Column Scanning Technique (SSM/CST) are applied in complex industrial facilities. These techniques belong to non-invasive “tools” for diagnosing process flow anomalies that need to be eliminated to achieve efficiency and process optimization. The advantages and features of these methods are reflected in economy, precision, mobility, sustainability, and speed of implementation.
At the end of the training, the participants were tested. Successful candidates received certificates of competencies from the certified body – International Society for Tracer and Radiation Applications (ISTRA). One of the successful candidates was Srdjan Vukovic who received two certificates for the program’s intended methods and became a member of the ISTRA community.
These achievements not only reflect the personal success of Srdjan Vukovic but also open the door for future cooperation of the Faculty of Technology Zvornik with the industrial sector at the regional and international level.
